Amy's Mansion, known as Amy Mansion (エミーマンション Emī Manshon) in Japan, is a fanmade action-adventure game, based on Luigi's Mansion. It was published by Sega for the Sega Saturn. It was released in Japan on November 22, 1994, in North America on May 11, 1995, and in Europe on July 8, 1995. It was the first Sonic game to be released on Sega Saturn. The game was one of the launch titles for Sega Saturn. This is only game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series where Amy Rose is the main protagonist, instead of Sonic. The game takes place in a haunted mansion when Amy Rose wins a contest that she never entered. She told Sonic to meet her there to celebrate her victory. Amy is searching for her hero Sonic, who came to the mansion earlier, but went missing. To help Amy Rose on her quest, an old professor named Old Man Owl has equipped her with the "Poltergust 3000", a vacuum cleaner used for capturing ghosts, and a "Game Horror", a device used for communicating with Old Man Owl. She also uses it as a map and to examine ghosts.
Amy's Mansion starts when Amy Rose won a mansion in a contest. She told Sonic about this mansion because she didn't even enter a contest. Sonic runs into the house immediately but then he disappeared into the mansion. Then Amy heads straight into the mansion. All the doors are locked. But a blob of some sort drops a key for the parlor. Then Amy heads for the big, double doors, which is the parlor, and is assaulted by a ghost. But the ghost ignores Amy because it is being sucked by an old hedgehog holding a vacuum. But the old hedgehog is soon defeated by the ghost. They both leave as three ghosts appear. They both introduce each other. Old Man Owl tells Amy about a hedgehog very similar to him without knowing that was Sonic.
